Apple TeacherBUSU has launched the first ever Student Awards for Teaching Excellence, giving students the opportunity to recognize those who have made the biggest impact on their learning experience at Brock. Doing so allows our students to meaningfully thank those staff members who have contributed to the core purpose of student life at Brock - teaching and learning.

There are a total of seven awards to be handed out each year: six winners will be selected (one per faculty) for professors, associate professors, assistant professors, adjunct professors, lecturers, or instructors who lead an undergraduate class with a lecture component. One of these winners will be selected to win an overall award, with the other five receiving recognition as their faculty winner. A seventh award is available for an oustanding Teaching Assistant or Lab Demonstrator.

Full information and nomination packages can be found at http://www.busu.net/get-involved/teachingaward. Nomination deadline is March 5th, but don't delay! Those teachers from your first-semester classes deserve your nominations just as much as the ones that you will soon be loving in the second semester. Nominate them now before the break, and maybe gather a few signatures of support from others in your class as well.
