The recent crisis in Haiti has initiated Charity Euchre Tournaments, Comedy Nights and much more at Brock University.

Brock University’s Office of International services, BUSU, and various other Clubs and organizations at Brock are responding quickly and creatively to the recent Crisis in Haiti.

“On January 12, 2010 a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, followed by two powerful aftershocks, struck off the western coast of Haiti. Over 3,000,000 people are estimated to be affected and are in urgent need ”  

Last Friday the Office of International Services hosted a meeting to come up with creative ideas to fund raise on campus.

The following initiatives & events are occurring on Brock Campus to fund raise for Haiti disaster relief:

1.  Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Night at 9pm Wednesday @ Isaacs (No Cover, Only donation to enter)
2.  Euchre Tournament for Haiti on Friday @ 1pm (Pre-register online on the BUSU Website, $5/person)
3.  Donations will be collected at various locations around campus including Union Station Food Court
4. A Web Portal has been created for Brock Donations by the Red Cross

Donating in the community:

1. Major banks including BMO, TD Canada Trust and 7 others will all be accepting cash donations at Branches
2. You can donate directly on The Red Cross Website, Salvation Army Website or the World Vision website anytime as well
