Referendum Fever
By Blake Faulds Published on: Friday February 8th, 2007
This year you are being asked if you would like to make a change here at the University. The change is this, would you be willing to allow Faculty Associations to hold future referendums on your behalf. You would of course still have the final say when the Association holds their proposed referendum. The reason this has come about is due to the fact that it currently is not possible for Faculty Associations to do so.
Proposals have been brought forth to bring about changes within Faculty Associations. For example the Faculty Association representing Business Students has brought forth a proposal which must be approved by the Students before it can be put into place. A good example of the proposed referendum.
Are these changes good or bad? That is where you play your part. Educate yourself. Get involved. There are further resources available here on the BUSU website or you can contact CRO Austin Brooks at cro@busu.net and we can address concerns that you may have.
This is your University and your voice really does matter, so please speak up and have your voice heard.
Thank you for your time and your vote.
