Volunteering is an awesome way to get connected, get more out of your university experience, and give back to the community that you’ve chosen as the surroundings for your post-secondary years.


For many, putting your name in to be a volunteer is the first step to meeting the best friends of your life and having the best experiences of your university career.


If you are interested in finding out about the different opportunities, please submit the following information and I will make it a priority to match you with the types of events that will be most suited to your interests.

*In order to volunteer as part of the S.W.A.T. team, you must meet the following criteria:



  1. Be a registered undergraduate student at Brock University
  2. Have strong oral communication skills
  3. Be able to engage other students
  4. Be a student entering their second year or above
  5. Possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and like to have fun!


    6. **NOTE: There will be a mandatory retreat in the month of August for all S.W.A.T. members as a means of becoming familiar with other volunteers and BUSU staff, but also to learn essential information required for Orientation week. Don’t be turned off by the word “mandatory”; this retreat will be so much fun, you’ll forget you had to attend.
